Our Intern will assist with a wide range of activities at Measure, including business development, incubating new ideas and services, assembling new solutions, and bringing them to market. Interns can expect to find themselves performing a wide variety of tasks; more often than not each day will be something completely new. Flexibility, persistence, and patience combined with a strong interest in emerging technology or business fundamentals will ensure success in this internship.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Intern duties can vary greatly and are often project-dependent. Previous interns have done a wide variety of work at Measure including market research and analysis, assisting with presentation decks and project proposals, developing marketing material, planning & participating in flight operations, data processing work, systems integration, financial modeling/tracking, and more.

Internships are available in the following departments:
SALES: Sales interns will learn how to sell our packaged product solutions to customers in a wide variety of verticals. The internship would include opportunities to use tools such as Salesforce, work with executive-level sales teams, and interacting with fortune 500 clientele. Ideal majors: Sales, Marketing, Business Administration and Business Management.
MARKETING: Marketing interns will learn how to apply our new branding across headquarters and our franchises, and help coordinate internal and external events for Measure. Interns will also learn about corporate branding, managing marketing collateral, designing marketing materials and marketing strategy/budgets. Ideal majors: Marketing, Business Administration/Management, Sales, Journalism, Graphic/Web Design
COMMUNICATIONS: Communications interns will learn how to write and publicize the activities of a startup in a cutting-edge field to a wide variety of audiences. The internship would include the opportunity to draft social media posts, pitch to media outlets and publish blog posts on the company website. Ideal majors: Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, and Business Administration/Management.
MEDIA: Media interns will learn how to promote a technology product in its early adoption stage to excited news outlets. There will be multiple opportunities to interact with TV stations as they ramp up on drone use. Media interns are based out of our New York location and will do a lot of field work and some sales/marketing. Ideal majors: Film/Production, Journalism, Sales, and Marketing.
DATA ENGINEERING: Data engineering interns will learn how to use ArcGIS to create orthomosaics, 3D point clouds, and other modeling as it pertains to architecture, engineering, construction and energy. Interns will also learn to write post-mission project reports and work with clients to execute flawless delivery of solutions. Ideal majors: Geography, Architecture, Computer Science, or other science-related majors.
DRONE ENGINEERING: Drone engineering interns will learn how to keep an entire fleet that flies for multiple customers daily operational. They will learn how to keep inventory, create customizations for the aircraft, and ensure that all Measure pilots are supported in their engineering needs. Ideal majors: Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
HUMAN RESOURCES: Human resources interns will learn how to review updates to federal and state labor laws and help to implement changes across the company. They will help to design training programs and work intensively with Microsoft PowerPoint and other presentation design software. Ideal majors: Business Administration/Management, Pre-Law, Sociology, and Behavioral/Social Science Majors.
FINANCE: Finance interns will learn how to create a budget for a fast-growing start up in the tech space, manage a travel and expense program, and ensure employee compliance with all policies set across the company. Ideal major: Economics, Business Administration/Management, and Finance.
OPERATIONS: Operations interns will learn how to conduct the internal operations of a tech startup and how to support every department to keep a company running smoothly and efficiently. Duties can include purchasing, inventory maintenance, insurance, office management, and travel coordination. Ideal majors: Business Administration/Management.
SOLUTIONS DEVELOPMENT: Solutions Development interns will learn how to help standardize our drone product offerings and research the current market and its opportunities in a variety of verticals. Ideal majors: Economics, Business Administration/Management (including International Business Majors), Sales, Marketing and English.
Candidate must be currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year university and at least in their sophomore year.
Junior and Senior level candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will be dynamic, energetic, hardworking, creative and able to think independently. Additionally, he/she will display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability work effectively with others.
Internships are not a guarantee of employment post-graduation but Measure loves to keep interns for an additional semester if they exude an outstanding work ethic.
